Northern Irish singer and pianist, Lisa Dawson, has always had a love for traditional songs from her celtic heritage.
Based in picturesque County Antrim, Lisa draws inspiration from the beautiful rural landscapes that surround her, and by blending classical and traditional styles together, Lisa creates peaceful music in a neoclassical new age style that is reminiscent of artists like Enya and Loreena McKennitt.

Rising local artist, and this year’s winner of Best Individual at Banbridge BuskFest, Lisa Dawson, is proud to release a captivating new cover of Chris Isaak’s iconic song "Wicked Game." This haunting rendition, available on all major streaming platforms on November 29th, blends rich piano sounds, ethereal harmonies, and delicate vocal layering in a style reminiscent of Enya, giving the timeless track a fresh, ambient twist.
The cover was originally created for Lisa Dawson’s YouTube channel, where she regularly uploads music videos. With a growing fanbase, this latest release marks a major milestone for the Islandmagee-based artist, who is known for their unique fusion of ambient, classical, and folk influences.
“I’ve always loved the emotional depth of Wicked Game,” says Lisa Dawson. “For this cover, I wanted to explore a more atmospheric and ethereal sound. I used rich piano arrangements, layered vocals, and soft harmonies to capture the haunting simplicity of the song in a way that feels a bit other-worldly.”
Lisa’s last release this year was her original song ‘Colour My Day’ which was another track heavily influenced by the music of Enya.
Beyond their music career, Lisa is also deeply committed to the local community, teaching music to children in Islandmagee and Whitehead and fostering a love of music in the next generation. She is particularly committed to encouraging young people to write music of their own, and will be launching the Music Writer’s Club in Carrickfergus in 2025.
